Local Churches
One of our great passions as a CU is to get students stuck into a local church, and In Canterbury we are blessed with a massive variety of great churches to choose from. Below is a selection of churches in the area you may want to explore, and their contact details: Plus, since there's so many to choose from, for the first few months of the autumn term we run a church tour, visiting a different church each week, so if you are a fresher looking for a church then feel free to join us.

Emmanuel Church: Emmanuel Church seeks to bring the Word of God to the church and to the world. We are conservative in theology and radical in discipleship.
Our Sunday services are at 10.30am at Kingsmead Primary School in the centre of town and our 7.30pm evening meeting, Living Word, is in the Minister's house in St. Dunstan's area. Living Word is great to bring a non- Christian friend to: we just look through Luke's gospel and have open discussion.
Students straightaway feel part of the Emmanuel Church family and help in different ways in the church. We also have a student discipleship group meeting on Wednesdays 4-6pm. But our big aim is to get you living radical lives among fellow students for the honour of God's name!
