OUTREACH!
CU is unlike every other group on campus. It’s not a social group for Christians... we exist to GIVE to students at this uni and in giving Obviously we receive! But here’s a misconception that should be corrected: CU is not church, we are a MISSION TEAM. So come to CU if you want to be part of Gods big mission at this uni and help out, there’s loads to do... it’s exciting stuff!!
We believe in a God who loves us so much that he stepped in to save us from death and hell, the punishment that we deserve for our sin, and who instead gives us life to the FULL, hope, freedom and the choice to know him personally. This is amazing news and it applies to every single student studying here!
We believe passionately in this message because God has revealed himself to us personally. OVER 14,000 people go to Kent University and many don't know Jesus BUT loads of students want to find out who God is and see if he is real....
Here's where, if you love and follow God, you step in!! Because you can share that with them : )” “What good is it dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?” James 3: 14
CU wants to be a group that brings light to the campus. We do not believe in pressuring people into listening but simply want to show Gods love to them and share a message of Truth to those who want to hear. The sad thing is, people don’t know this life giving news and it is our responsibility to give them the opportunity to hear if they want to.
”The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into his fields” Matthew 9: 37-38
WE NEED YOU
God can do over and beyond what we imagine but he's given us an amazing opportunity to reach out to fellow students and use the ministry of CU to worship him so 14,000 people won’t have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel if no one tells them about the opportunity or prays for them... sooooooooooo we tell them, we pray for them : ) !!!!
This year Gods been telling us that He wants more from us... more of our time, more of our money, more of your energy, more of our heart... this is our challenge: to get serious about the mission!
”Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
